Core War, re-envisioned for 2026.

Core War in real 8086 machine code. Write a bot in NASM-style assembly and it fights other bots in a shared 64 KB core until one is left. The instruction set is the 8086's own encoding with three documented changes, so every bot is bytes you can disassemble with ndisasm. A deterministic TypeScript engine runs the same battle in Bun, the browser, and on Cloudflare's edge with the same hash each time. In-browser editor and debugger with 256 steps back, brackets, melees, King of the Hill, Glicko-2 ratings, and a weekly championship.
